the history of this wine estate dates back to 1710 after the governor, willem van der stel, donated the land to the first owners. the domain located in tulbagh is flanked by mountains. it is a unique and breathtaking area with beautiful nature which was the attraction for the first settlers who settled there 300 years ago. the current owners bought the domain in 2004 and are committed to maintaining the beautiful nature that surrounds them as best as possible. saronsberg sauvignon blanc region: south africa, tulbagh grapes: 100% sauvignon blanc, harvested manually. nose and mouth: aromas of tropical fruit, grassy notes and some minerality. a full mouthfeel (due to maturing on the lie for 6 months) with a crispy aftertaste. food pairing: aperitif, goat cheese salad, grilled fish alcohol percentage: 12.5% acidity: 7.6g/l fermentation in stainless steel tanks, maturing on the lie for 6 months

Alvi's drift is a family business that has been producing wines since 1928. the wine estate is located in the heart of the breede river valley in worcester in the western cape, south africa's largest wine producing district. there are many different soil types and microclimates in that region, but it is essentially dry and warm. alvi's drift has 410 hectares of vineyards where 19 different grape varieties are grown. they are known for making interesting quality wines. rondebosch chardonnay region: south africa / western cape / worcester grapes: 100% chardonnay nose and mouth: aromas of stone fruit and melon supported by a very subtle oak note. moelleux and acidity are nicely balanced. in the aftertaste we find a slightly spicy touch. food pairing: fish dishes, white cheeses alcohol percentage: 13.5% perfect entry-level wine
