Good tan head over viscously pouring black beer. coffee, wood, sweet (meat) roast, roasted chestnuts, ash-roasted potatoes, faint bourbon. sweet (if mild) roast, dry-ashy, smoked wood. finish is dry-woody, and a light roasty bitterness with even some hoppy notes. alcohol is present, but no vanilla traceable. well-bodied, viscous, low to medium carbonation. nice! nothing wrong with this beer, and thanks to the brewer! a good beige foam on a black beer that flows freely. coffee, wood, sweet roast (meat), roasted chestnuts, ash-roasted potatoes, light bourbon. sweet roast (although mild), dry and ashy wood, smoked. the finish is dry and woody, with a slight roasted bitterness and even some hoppy notes. alcohol is present, but no trace of vanilla is perceptible. full-bodied, viscous, low to medium carbonation. very pleasant ! no complaints

The otter is a pale ale inspired by both american and british craft traditions. it combines exciting flavours with maximum pintability. the base is as english as you can get, with marris otter malts and english ale yeast. the (dry)hop is abundant and will change with each batch.

When you say “stout” in belgium, most people think of a certain irish beer that has become synonymous with the style. and while that is a fine beer, this stout is very different! the use of golden promise oats gives this beer a silky mouthfeel, while the cacao and various roasted grains give the intensity of dark chocolate and coffee. at 6.5% abv, we tried to keep the balance between a “big” beer with lots of body, and something drinkable that allows you to enjoy more than one.

Pico bello is brewed 100% naturally, with a contemporary style, and has not undergone an industrial process of dealcoholization that also leads to the disappearance of many flavor profiles. a special yeast strain was used, which creates fruity esters and minimal alcohol. after delta and juice junkie, pico bello is our new all-star that comes in cans. this "new" format is much lighter and easier to transport. more importantly, the can protects the beer from light and air, so that all aromas are optimally preserved. there was no question of reducing the alcohol content of an existing beer. and that's why we designed a new beer that takes on the challenge of a craft beer without alcohol. pico bello is a hazy zero ipa with fruity aromas, a touch of bitterness and a welcome sourness that breaks with the sweet non-alcoholic beers produced by traditional brewers.

Frontal - wake up call

Wake up call is brewed in collaboration with taplokaal gist in utrecht. this imperial coffee oatmeal stout is packed with oats. the flaked oats and golden naked oats give this stout a silky mouthfeel. they also give sweetness and a slightly nutty taste to the beer. we also added lots of cacao nibs and maple syrup for that rich chocolate and decadent maple flavor. northern brewer hops add some soft earthy and spicy aromas. this beer is rounded off with an attractive bitter aftertaste.

Golden carolus

We had to miss the beer for more than 35 years, but in 2002 the tradition was restored and we are brewing the gouden carolus christmas again. the beer is characterized as a strong, characterful dark brown beer with 10.0% alc.vol. this beer is brewed in august and then rests for several months to achieve an optimal taste balance. the addition of 6 exceptional herbs and the use of 3 types of hops make this christmas beer in a class of its own, a world-class beer.

The first beer we developed was baptized the keilopenbier, referring to the nickname of the residents of poperinge (see further on this page). we brewed this beer for the first time on november 9, 2011, the very first brew in our own brewery! in our first beer you had to be able to taste our story: it is a fairly hoppy and softly bitter beer, but with a nice balance that makes it extremely drinkable. view dark blond beer; firm fine white foam nose fresh, hoppy nose (citrus & grapefruit), a bit grassy and spicy, also some ripe exotic fruit and some malt taste dry and fresh-fruity in attack, again some grassy notes, fairly full malt and yeast flavors in the mouth, soft bitter (grapefruit) in the aftertaste that lingers quite a long time for this lighter type of beer

Belgian star & stripes

This beer is inspired by many of the craft beers of colorado, the home state of our head brewer. the stars of the show with this beer are the hops: chinook for a complex bitterness, columbus for dank notes, mandarina bavaria for tangerine and complex floral citrus, and citra for the big tropical / citrus punch! we think this beer strikes a perfect balance between big juicy flavor and a clean dry finish.
