Fifty pounds gin

Fifty pounds, that is to say fifty pounds, was the sum that london distillers had to pay as a tax in times long gone by. recalling english history and traditions is the brand new fifty pounds london dry gin, produced by thames distillers in the absolute capital of the distillate. located in the south-eastern area of the city, the distillery has been carrying on its production tradition for over two centuries, supported by a master distiller who is also president of the association of english distillers. obtained from a neutral base of grain spirit distilled four times, fifty pounds is rich in vegetal ingredients distilled a fifth time in the old "john doore" still. it is necessary to wait at least three weeks of rest before the bottling phase, to favor a perfect amalgamation of the vegetal ingredients: herbs, spices, flowers and fruit. after all, the very origin of gin is vegetal: juniper berries, from which, in addition to the name, the distillate takes its aroma and flavour, pleasantly spicy, dry, fresh and clean.

Clandestine gin

Gin 'clandestino' by mistico speziale takes us back to the times of prohibition, when alcohol could only be consumed in illegal bars called speakeasies. the all-italian compound gin is inspired by the taste of the time, but with the added quality of italian experience in distillation and the use of quality raw materials. most of the botanicals are grown directly on the land adjacent to the mistico speziale factory, in a completely natural way. the dry and resinous notes of juniper balance perfectly with the spicy notes of coriander, combined with the balsamic and floral notes of cardamom and aromatic calamus and a fresh and unmistakable citrus touch. a complex gin, very aromatic, but well structured, excellent both on its own and in mixing.
